If power is interrupted, a 500mAh backup keeps it attached for up to 30 minutes, and the included 4-meter safety rope clips to a nearby anchor as a second line of defense. We recommend always using the rope on upper-floor windows.
Can I use it on outside windows?
Yes. It is designed for interior and exterior glass, including sunrooms, sliding doors, and upper-floor windows you can reach to place it on. Because it draws continuous power, outdoor use usually means running an extension cord or feeding the cord through an open window.
Is it cordless?
No. OrcaClear Pro runs on continuous power for consistent suction and spray, so it needs to stay plugged in while it works. The onboard 500mAh battery is a safety backup that holds the unit to the glass if the power is cut, not a run battery.
Does it work on paned or divided windows?
It performs best on large, uninterrupted glass: picture windows, sliding doors, sunroom panels, and frameless shower doors. On small divided or heavily grid-paned windows you will spend more time repositioning it, so it is less of a time-saver there.
Do I need to watch it while it runs?
We recommend staying nearby, especially the first few times and on any window above ground level. It signals with a voice prompt when a pass is complete, so you can be in the same room doing something else rather than standing over it.
What about streaks and very dirty windows?
Clean pads are the key to a clear finish, so rinse and rotate them as prompted. Lightly soiled glass usually clears in one pass. Windows with heavy grime, salt film, or caked-on residue may need a quick pre-wipe and a second pass to look their best.
What solution and pads does it use?
Fill the built-in tank with water or a glass-cleaning solution of your choice. Reusable microfiber pads are included, along with spares, and they wash and rotate easily between windows.
