It Wasn’t Your Hair. It Was Your Water.

You’ve switched shampoos. Tried the expensive conditioner. Blamed your hair, your hormones, the season. If nothing worked, maybe it isn’t your hair. Maybe it’s your water.

Cities add chlorine to tap water to make it safe to drink. It’s still hard on hair and skin and a hot shower is the worst of it. Steam opens your hair, heat speeds everything up, and you stand in it about eight minutes a day.

Most shower filters don’t fix this. They’re plastic tubes that choke your water pressure after a few weeks, drip at the threads, and never tell you when they’ve stopped working.

Orca ShowerPro is built differently. Stainless steel body that holds your water pressure. Certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine reduction. Installs in minutes, no tools needed. And a color-changing indicator that tells you exactly when the filter is used up — no more guessing.

Why Orca ShowerPro Works

Every claim, tested and built to prove it

list icon
Less of What Dries You Out

Softer hair, calmer skin. ShowerPro is certified to reduce the chlorine that’s been drying you out, not your shampoo.

list icon
Full Pressure, Start to End

Full pressure, guaranteed. ShowerPro won’t choke to a trickle like filters that clog worse every week.

list icon
Certified and You Can Verify It

Independently certified to NSF/ANSI 42 that actually removes chlorine, tested across the cartridge’s full life, not just day one.

list icon
It Tells You When It’s Done

The indicator changes color when it’s truly spent, no counting months, no guessing. It tells you about your shower.

list icon
Stainless Steel, Not Plastic

Solid stainless steel, not plastic that cracks and yellows. Built to keep filtering strong even in hot-shower steam and heat.

Leak-Free, or We Replace It

Most filters fail at a leaky thread, not the filtering. ShowerPro seals with a captive O-ring in a machined groove with a built-in thread stop so you tighten it by hand and can’t crank it too far and cause a leak. If it leaks we replace it.

How It Works

Sediment screen

Catches rust, grit, and pipe sediment before they reach the filter media or your skin.

KDF-55 media

Uses a copper-zinc reaction to change free chlorine into something harmless. It works at shower temperatures, and it also keeps bacteria from settling inside the cartridge between showers.

Calcium sulfite

Handles the chlorine that heat and fast-moving water would otherwise push straight past a carbon-only filter.

Final polish layer

Catches the last tiny particles, so nothing but water reaches you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a water softener?

No — and this matters, so we’d rather say it up front than have you find out later.

ShowerPro is a filter. It’s certified to reduce chlorine. It is not a water softener and it does not remove the hardness minerals that leave spots on glass or make soap hard to rinse. Softening hard water takes a whole-house softener system, which is a much bigger and more expensive job.

If your main problem is chlorine — dry hair, dry skin, that pool smell in the shower — ShowerPro is built for exactly that. If your main problem is limescale on your fixtures, a shower filter isn’t the fix, and we’d rather you knew that before you ordered.

How to install it

Unscrew your shower head. Wrap the included PTFE tape around the threads on the shower arm. Screw ShowerPro onto the arm by hand, then attach your shower head to the filter outlet. Run hot water for 60 seconds to rinse out the media. That’s it — no plumber, no tools, nothing extra to buy. Most people are done in about five minutes.

Will it fit my shower?

It fits any standard US 1/2" NPT shower arm — the same threads your current head screws onto. It works with fixed, rain, combo, and handheld heads. The swivel joint means your head still adjusts exactly the way it does now. It adds less than five inches of length.

What if it leaks?

It shouldn’t. The O-ring sits in a machined groove and the thread stop keeps you from over-tightening it, which is how most filters get cross-threaded and start dripping. Two spare gaskets are in the box.

But if it does drip at the connection, we replace it. Not a refund fight, not a warranty claim form. We will send you a new one.

What’s in the box?
  • Stainless steel filter housing in the finish you picked
  • One cartridge (about six months for a typical household)
  • Two spare gaskets
  • PTFE plumber’s tape
  • Water quality guide
Finishes?

Grey, black, and white. All three are the same stainless steel housing with a tough powder-coat finish, rated for constant hot water and steam. It won’t yellow, peel, or chalk up at the threads.

Certifications?

Certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine reduction. NSF/ANSI 42 is the standard that covers things like taste, smell, and chlorine in your water. Certification means an accredited outside lab checked the chlorine reduction claim over the cartridge’s full rated life — instead of the brand just saying so.

Replacement cartridges — and what they cost?

Most households replace the cartridge about twice a year, which works out to roughly $15 per cartridge / $30 per year. We’d rather you see that number now than be surprised by it later.

Six months is an estimate, though. A busy household will get through cartridges faster, and a light one will stretch them further. The indicator is what tells you — not the calendar, and not us.

Subscribe and cartridges arrive on your schedule, or just order one when the indicator changes color. No lock-in, no inflated cartridge prices, and you can cancel any time.

How do I know when to replace it?

Watch the indicator. It changes color when the media is spent. You don’t have to track dates, and you shouldn’t have to wait for your water pressure to drop off — with ShowerPro, a slowing shower is not how you find out.

Plan on about six months. But treat that as a planning number, not a deadline. Cartridge life depends on how much water runs through it and what’s in that water, so a two-person home and a five-person home won’t land in the same place. Yours will tell you when it’s ready.
